1. Changes to Commission Structures: Buyers Will Play a Bigger Role

What’s Changing? Going forward, buyers will have a much bigger say in how their agent is compensated. Instead of the seller automatically covering the buyer’s agent fee, it will now be negotiated directly between the buyer and their agent up front.

Sellers might have the chance to keep more of their proceeds by not paying the buyer’s agent commission.
